Working with a new composer client, Chris Bacon, I pushed myself to experiment with some new techniques and new sound sources while performing as a Score Sound Designer for the Adam Driver-starring movie 65. One particularly rich experiment was attaching a sound transducer to a frame drum and running synth sounds through it. This was conceptually to mimic the combination of ancient and sci-fi that the movie delivers, and it’s always rewarding when a concept actually reaps cool sounds.
